What should i do if my soon to be ex spouse isn't going to show up to trial?

I have a court date coming up on June 6th and my soon to be ex spouse just told me that they weren't going to be able to make it because they couldn't change their plane. He asked me if i could try and change the date but i cant because i just got this new job and have asked for so much already, to the point where it comes off as if i'm taking advantage. I was wondering if this was going to effect my divorce trial in a way that the judge would just look at me and dismiss it because he is not there? Or is the judge going to just go through with it even though he is not there? One of my main concerns is the whole car thing. The last time we went to a hearing my ex spouse said that he didn't want the car if he had to pay for it but still refuses to hand it to me and is still not making payments. Because there were to many complications with finances, the judge did not award the car to me and did not make it an order but suggested a trial instead. Am i allowed to bring this up during trial since my soon to be ex spouse admitted that he didn't want the car but refuses to make payments and hand it over? And yes, i made a note of that in a findings and order form and filed it with the court right after that hearing afraid that he would later deny it during trial.
