Emerson Jumbo Universal Remote & Direct TV plus?

So I know there are codes in the instructions for DirectTV(200-217) but they do not work and others have asked about this problem and but I couldn't find a discussion on it newer than 2 years ago... wondering if there are any new findings? (btw the remote works on my other devices using the codes... maybe it has a "newer" code because maybe it matters that my directtv is a "plus"?)
