Has anyone use MTG sulu max gro or the Original MTG on their own hair?

I'm considering using it on mine and my daughter's hair. I've done quite a bit of research and so far the findings are positive apart from the horrid smell lol but I would like more insight & from those who've used it before I decide to actually purchase it. Also how often should it be used on the hair?
