How can i get my mom to let me pick my own clothes?

at your age my mother would dress me too in clothes that were not the fashion statement like my friends we were not allowed to wear pants in school until the 70s I would hem my skirts higher than they were I also wore some of her blouses that were not really in style at the time and kids would make fun of me it was no joke. make up maybe a little eyeshadow as for the hair coloring no way,She would cut our hair short and make a mess out of it good luck to you
